Introduction. In terms of economic relations transformation in Ukraine, entrepreneurship, which today, to a certain extent, goes beyond the scope usual functions and roles, is socio-cultural phenomenon with its own history civilizational specificity, occupies special place. Given this, it should be considered not only as an category but also system values cultural phenomenon. Purpose methods. The purpose article theoretical analysis entrepreneurship unique phenomenon, will deepen understanding essence, dimensions, strategies at various stages society's historical development. methodological basis study dialectical principle cognition, systemic, historical, cultural, interdisciplinary approaches organizational phenomena society. Results. scientific opinion formation about considered. Socio-cultural principles are revealed. factors entrepreneur's personality have been identified. role entrepreneur society analyzed. Determinants activation prospects for entrepreneurial activity development determined. Conclusions. novelty research results lies deepening essence human significance manifested addition science new provisions on well possibility using them process professional training entrepreneurs managers.
